ApplicationThe Mix 110 is a high performance Tempering Valve for use in hot water distribution systems. Fitting the valve at the hot water source ensures the delivery of constant temperature hot water throughout the system. The valve is also suitable for heating applications such as hydronic and radiant / underfloor. Main features Ensures temperature stability - Reduces the chances of uncontrolled water temperature Installation The Mix110 tempering valve must be fitted on water systems only, under no circumstances can the valve be fitted onto steam supplied systems. Note that heat must not be applied near the valve during installation, as this will damage the valve internals. Flush all pipe-work with water only before installing the valve. Install in accordance with markings on the valve body, i.e., hot water inlet is marked "H", cold water inlet is marked "C", and the mixed outlet is marked W". This valve is suitable for horizontal or vertical installation. On unvented systems, ensure that the cold water connection is made downstream from a fitted line strainer. The full adjustment from 35°C to 55°C can be obtained in one revolution of the adjusting knob, which is graduated to enable adjustment to be controlled. Maintenance & Troubleshooting The Mix110 Tempering Valve should be periodically checked for safe operation and readjusted as necessary. To check the set temperature of the valve, a thermometer should be used at the closest outlet to the valve to ensure that the correct set temperature is achieved. The valve may need to be readjusted to take account of changes in seasons, which may affect hot and cold water inlet temperatures, It should be noted that water borne sediment or dirt can in certain circumstances prevent the internal mechanism of the Mix110 Tempering valve from functioning properly. It Is recommended that in all installations properly maintained strainers are appropriately fitted. The Mix110 Tempering Valve is not serviceable, if the valve fails to operate, it should be replaced. Do not attempt to disassemble the valve.
